About Santo Domingo: Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium (Spanish: Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez) is open-air multi-purpose stadium in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Opened in 1974 for the XII Central American & Caribbean Games and renovated 2003 Pan American Games is the largest stadium in the Dominican Republic used mostly for football and track and field and as a music venue. The stadium has a sporting events capacity of 27,000 people, though it has seen crowds of 35,000. For concerts, its stated capacity is 50,000 people. // El Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez​ es un estadio multiuso ubicado en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana que es utilizado principalmente para la práctica de Fútbol y atletismo. Tiene capacidad para recibir hasta 27.000 espectadores sentados,​ pero su capacidad se amplia para eventos como conciertos usando el terreno de juego hasta unas 50.000 personas aproximamente. // The 2024 FIFA U-17 Womens World Cup (Spanish: Copa Mundial Femenina Sub-17 de la FIFA República Dominicana 2024) will be the 8th edition of the FIFA U-17 Womens World Cup, the biennial international womens youth football championship contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It will be hosted by the Dominican Republic, the first FIFA tournament hosted by the country. This will be the final edition to feature 16 teams before expanding to 24 teams in 2025. It will also be the final edition to be held biannually.
