Vaduz Drone Flight: Rheinpark Stadion in Vaduz is the national stadium of Liechtenstein. It plays host to home matches of the Liechtenstein national football team, and is also the home of football club FC Vaduz. It lies on the banks of the river Rhine, just metres from the border with Switzerland. Main stand of the Rheinpark Stadion with Vaduz Castle behind. Rheinpark was officially opened on 31 July 1998 with a match between FC Vaduz, the Liechtenstein Cup holders at the time, and 1. FC Kaiserslautern, the then Bundesliga champions. 1. FC Kaiserslautern won 8–0. The stadium has a seating capacity of 5,873, with additional standing room space giving it a total capacity of 7,584. The stadium cost roughly CHF19 million to construct. // Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, sits on the Rhine River near the Swiss border. On a hillside overlooking the town, Vaduz Castle dates back to the 12th century and is a royal family residence. In the Städtle, the pedestrianized town center, the sleek Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein displays modern art. Nearby, the National Museum houses archaeological and cultural artifacts in a medieval building. The Postal Museum has a large collection of the countrys postage stamps and related artwork. Sculptures by international artists including Henry Moore and Fernando Botero are dotted around the Städtle. The neo-Gothic Vaduz Cathedral lies south of Peter-Kaiser-Platz, a large, paved plaza. North of the center, the Mitteldorf area features traditional houses like the step-gabled Red House. Nearby, the Prince of Liechtenstein Winery offers tours and tastings. The Alte Rheinbrücke is a 1901 covered wooden bridge that spans the Rhine River, connecting Vaduz to Sevelen in Switzerland.
