About Coronel Oviedo: The Estadio Ovetense Unidos is a football stadium in Coronel Oviedo, Paraguay. Its actual capacity is for 10,000 but it is projected to expand to 50,000. In August 2010, the construction of the stadium began. In September 2013, the stadium was closed. In August 2014, the stadium was officially habilitated. In September 2013, former tennis player and Paraguays Minister of Sport Victor Pecci assured ABC Color that he had an order by the countrys president to convert the Estadio Ovetenses Unidos into a 50, 000 capacity venue. In July 2020, Tigo Sports announced that the renovation and remodelation of the stadium was projected, which was made official by the Secretaria Nacional de Deportes. By December 2020, the remodelation of the stadium began. // El Estadio Ovetenses Unidos es un estadio de fútbol de Paraguay que se encuentra ubicado en la zona sur de la ciudad de Coronel Oviedo, sobre la Ruta 8 Blas Garay y a unos 4 km del cruce con la Ruta 2 Mariscal Estigarribia. Tiene una capacidad para 10 000 personas, pero está proyectado ampliar su aforo a 50 000 espectadores. El Ovetense Fútbol Club es un club de fútbol de Paraguay de la ciudad de Coronel Oviedo en el Departamento de Caaguazú. Fue fundado el 5 de noviembre de 2015 sobre la base de los clubes de la Liga Ovetense de Fútbol cuya selección obtuvo el derecho de competir por primera vez en la División Intermedia (Segunda División), luego de coronarse campeona de la Primera División B Nacional (Tercera División) en la temporada 2015.
