Slovenia Drone Flight: Ljubljana is Slovenias capital and largest city. Its known for its university population and green spaces, including expansive Tivoli Park. The curving Ljubljanica River, lined in outdoor cafes, divides the citys old town from its commercial hub. Ljubljana has many museums, including the National Museum of Slovenia, displaying historic exhibitions, and the Museum of Modern Art, home to 20th-century Slovene paintings and sculptures. Ljubljana hosts many distinctive structures by native 20th-century architect Jože Plečnik, including the iconic Tromostovje (Triple Bridge) over the river. Many notable sites are near the Tromostovje. These include the Prešernov Trg (central square), with art nouveau buildings and a turn-of-the-century statue of the plazas namesake poet, France Prešeren. Nearby, the baroque domed cathedral has twin towers. Moving south, Plečniks palazzo-style National and University Library features Roman archaeological remnants at its base. The hilltop Ljubljana Castle, a medieval fortress, is connected to old town by a funicular.
